Life Insurance Jargon Translator Privacy Policy

The Life Insurance Jargon Translator Chrome extension is designed to work locally in your browser. Insurance By Heroes does not collect, transmit, sell, or share policy text, selected webpage text, browsing history, personally identifiable information, authentication information, financial information, or location information through the extension.

How the extension works

When you paste text into the extension or select text and use the “Explain insurance language” command, the extension compares that text with a glossary stored inside the installed extension. The analysis occurs on your device. The text is not sent to Insurance By Heroes or to an artificial-intelligence provider.

Permissions

The extension uses Chrome’s contextMenus permission to add its right-click command. It uses activeTab and scripting only after you invoke that command, so it can display the explanation on the active page. It does not request permanent access to all websites.

Analytics, advertising, and remote code

The extension does not contain analytics or advertising trackers, and it does not execute remotely hosted code.

External links

The extension includes links to Insurance By Heroes pages for product information, privacy, and support. Visiting those pages is governed by the website’s general privacy policy.

Changes

If the extension’s data practices change, this policy and the Chrome Web Store privacy disclosures will be updated before the changed practices are released.
